Hello Everyone,

This special Update is to inform New Zealand's tobacco control community that I will be finishing up with the Smokefree Coalition at the end of July.

It has been a pleasure to have been involved in this important work alongside so many dedicated people.

While I am looking forward to new challenges, there are a number of things about my time with the Coalition that I will always remember.

In particular it was a privilege to have been involved with the 'light' and 'mild' issue, the commencement of the Vision process, the work on the retail display ban (congratulations to ASH and the Cancer Society for their promotion of this) and initiating discussion around tax policy.

I would like to wish everybody in the sector all the best as they face the challenges ahead.

Warm regards,

Mark Peck
